Got the Panny PX80 TV at long last, 3 weeks 3 days lafter ordering it, turned up.

Plugged in the V+ and the HDMI doesnt seem to work, anyone else got a V+ box, did you have to ring Virgin to activate it or something?

Also, when my dad turns it on, he gets something called rabbit TV, music channel, never had this before, is it part of the TV.

Other than that, my dad says it HUGE! lol...

You might have to activate the HDMI on the TV.

My Pio has 5 inputs but most of them are shared, so you get a scart and an HDMI on Input 1, etc. I have to go into the menu and turn on the HDMI input, otherwise if defaults to the scart option.

Don't worry about the size, they shrink pretty quickly.

I think you have to enable the hdmi output in the V+ box. I seem to recal having to do this when i connected mine up the first time. It's in the tv output settings.

As said, check the menus for HDMI type settings and check it is activated, my Pio gave me this scare.

Also get over to the owners thread over at avforums in the plasma section and print off some rough settings to help you calibrate the picture for starters :D

Had a look in the V+ setings box, didnt get a HDMI output to pick. I didnt have a cable in the port at the time, will it be intelligent enough to realise this and not show it?

I guess im going to have to wait until i get home at the weekend to fix this for my parents. Little anoyed, the shop i bought it from charged me £40 to set it up for them, and they left them with basic 5 channels and a promise it will work after an hour and left them to it...

OK, works on SCART, but ive been told the picture is better via HDMI, but yet to see it lol. Cant say after the ervice i have gotten from music and eyesight shop, id recomend them to anyone. 3weeks and 3 days to get me the TV and not really set up. Should have made a trip to come back and fix it for them if you ask me.

Go into HOME, SETTINGS, DISPLAY, and select Hidef HDMI select either 1080i 720p etc...

Then hit the ok button, switch TV to the correct hdmi channel, and it'll pop up saying press text to save :)

Job done, ps the engineers should have left you a user guide, it explains on the last page
