Best man speech

hmmm....horses for courses i guess. But when every line is a joke, i think its too much.
When i was best man, i had a good friend do some charicatures detailing various part of the grooms life. They were A2 size and on a standing easel so all could easily see. I used a car aerial as a pointer, which i nabbed off the ushers car from the car park :D
It went down really well and was complimented by some that it was the best 'best man's' speech they'd every heard/seen :)
But ya know what, i was cool as a cucumber until about 1 minute before having to stand up....at which time i downed a pint in about 20 seconds. (very good for me, that).

Bottom line though, if its works it doesnt matter what the content is. Good for you mate. :)

I had the pleasure of being Fatboy's (Phil at OcUK) best man a few weeks ago.

I kept him up in the hotel bar 'til 2am the night before the wedding, we both got leathered, then I started writing my speech at 10am, 3 hours before the service :D

Lol, how did the speech go? :D

You should have thrown in the old...

"Now remember, that when you've been together a fair few years and she turns round to you and says 'You never take me anywhere new...'... 'Up the ****' is not a good answer... trust me, my wife/girlfriend still wont let me live that one down..."

:)

Other than that, very good :)

"I hope the happy couple enjoy their honeymoon in north Wales *pause* At least I think thats what he meant when he said he was going to Bangor for two weeks" :D
