Hi all! My name is Ivan and i'm here to show you my ride and some of our club rides.

I were very inspired by VW restocals and decided to make something like it but using our russian volks wagen - Lada. I bought mine about 3 years ago. It was in good condition and 100% og with og paint etc.
I started with some technical works:changed oil, spark plugs and many other things. Cleaned exterior and interior, changed shocks and springs. As it must be resto ride it must be lowered. So springs was cutted. I lowered it for about 15 cm. At the moment it has about 5 cm clearence under front beam. I puted the fresh repainted roofrack, whitewalls, custom painted rims, headlight stoneguards and some other accessories. It has 155/65R13 up front and 175/60R13 out back. Some engine parts was repainted.

1974 Lada 1200 Wagon (2102, one of the lowest lada in our country)

I used old made in ussr light alloy wheels, but detailed it before installation.

1980 Lada 1500 (2103)

and 1980 Lada 1200 (2101, late model)

Each car has it's own name: mine is D'olive, 2102 is Cioccolato, 2103 is Violetta and orange 2101 is Carota.

It's completely new suspension was installed on wagon, floor was welded, cause there was holes

New electric, new headlights, new interior etc....

I use the rope at back, with it car looks more rat....But exhaust connect by stock link to body, so rope is just accessorie

They obviously have a lot of love for their Lada's, to be fair they've done a nice job. Better than a lot of the tat you see floating around this country.

I have to admit that as Ladas go, that doesn't look bad at all. However, what's the obsession with roof racks?

It's less about the laydays and more about the 3 man club...that's not even a small gathering by my standards.

Its done 'resto-cal' style which is an aircooled vw thing...

Think Cal Look but with all original chrome and accessories, perfick stance, original paint colours...

restowagen.co.uk I think...

Its a look I like when done well...Especially when not on a VW.

Saw these on RR yesterday. The olive 2101 is gorgeous, though I'm not one for roof racks. Always wanted a 2101 but there are so few in the UK now. I'd be better of importing a Turkish Murat 124 and using that as a base.

perfect reminder of why these cars spawned the lada jokes so many of us told as kids

Having said that, they have obviously had a lot of love and work put into them, and they do look very nice now.

pretty snazzy motors going on there to be fair, for old lada's!

we used to have a hidous lada with plastic fake leather tan seats etc, they got HOT on sunny days. its long gone though. shame!

I took insparation on some resto-cal sites like restowagenuk.com, at pics of resto-cal bugs, ghias etc....Here we have only 4 this rides, no more resto-styled cars or something like this....Many people like our cars, but many people think that it isn't something special - just lowered stock cars....They didn't think that we did a big work to make it look like it looks at the moment.....
