Dead Space - Survival Horror is Back

me too :(

Oooh, useless fact. The actress that played Kennedy on Buffy voices a character :D

Oooh, so does the guy who played Holtz on Angel :D:D

Haha. I bought Doom 3 on release and shortly after starting I got to a part where a zombie jumps out of an elevator that I called and I nearly **** my pants. It scared the bejeezus out of me so I quit the game and never touched it again!

I fear that this will be the same deal.

It looks great but I'm unsure about buying this because I am a wimp when it comes to scary games :p

Same, i have had RE4 on my Wii for ages and it gets frustrating sometimes when i do play it. Im up to a part where i drop into a pit and guy's with chainsaw's come at me, cant seem to do it.

It's the only thing i hate about survival horror games (yes i know its a big part of it) but when you do a hard part and it takes you a couple of hundred times you just want to get straight back into the action rather than going through the mob's again.

Ugh... I have been watching gameplay footage on Gametrailers.com all morning and I think that this game is going to be too good to miss so I will have to man up and deal with it :p

I am very tempted by this and Fable but cant decide on which. Fable 2 should be good but i love my horror games.. and with Res Evil 5 out shortly into the new year it might be worth waiting for that... Who know

I remember creating a thread a few months back about how promising this looked and they have pulled it off! Definately going to buy it now based on the positive reviews it's had!

Heads up for PS3 owners,
Electronic Arts is offering some enticing perks exclusive to PLAYSTATION 3 owners and those who pre-order its sci-fi based survival horror.

Looking forward to Dead Space, the 18+ rated survival horror that has you trying to stay alive against the attacks of gruesome, rampaging creatures? Well, Electronic Arts has thrown in some extras to add a little bit more spice to the space-bound adventure.

Exclusive to PLAYSTATION 3 owners, the Obsidian Rig will be available to download from PLAYSTATION Store by logging on with the game. The download provides main character Isaac with a suit that boasts special PLAYSTATION 3 themed colours, increased toughness and more inventory slots. The Obsidian Rig will be available for free from October 24 to November 7, 2008, and then for a fee after that date.

If you want to grab a slice of the Dead Space action right now, there's the chance to get the limited edition red-tinged Scorpion Rig download by pre-ordering the game at selected shops. Once pre-ordered, you'll be given a unique code to use when you buy the game, to download the Rig on PLAYSTATION Store.

The 360 version has a rig of its own, too!

Think so, isnt it a gold suit or something? Like i said just a reminder for those getting it on PS3 to log on to PSN to claim the new suit.
Its sounds more like part of EA's new idea of giving people who get the game new and early a bonus. The idea is to make a pre-owned game less of a good deal, bit like the 20 bonus songs for RB2 is only for people who get the game new.

is it true theres no pause button in the game?????!!!!!!

oh and if i pre-order for 360 do i get any perks
