*** Official Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Thread***

Wraith and Retribution is a mature UK based guild operating in Warhammer Online on the side of Order.

We have a Teamspeak server and have a core group of players who look to have fun and pvp together, these players bring experience from games such as SWG, WOW and AOC.

We are currently recruiting players of all classes and abilities into the guild, we operate a fair and fun policy and hope to build a guild made up of fun and friendly active players.

If you are interested then fill in an application at http://www.war-guild.co.uk/ in the recruitment section or contact one of the below ingame;

Guild Leader - Goberkain
Officer - Meilevv
Officer - Skitzo
Officer - Miniime
Officer - Paulos

We have a number of OCUK members on the ranks.

Started playing yesterday, enjoying it but couple of things don't seem right for me.

Do you have to accept the end user agreement every time you log in?

I made a dwarf IB and I'm currently level 4. I tried doing a PQ yesterday and today but there was no-one around doing the same thing so it just timed out. I'm on the Karak Izor server, is anyone else on this server? Is there a way to see how many people are on the server? I'll have another crack tomorrow though.

Think I might order WAR. I'm new to MMORPG's so would this be a good choice for me?

If I bought this game, would I be able to play in the OCUK guild, Or would I be too much of a newbie?

Thanks :)

I will be quitting soon due to severe fps lags when in rvr scenarios. Shame coz the game is fine otherwise. (Yeah ive done a bazillion things to try and fix the fps lag). :(

this i concur is a game breaker atm, massive siege battles become impossible with players warping left right and centre ... even in scenario's theres nothing more annoying to be hitting your target in melee combat only to find they have actually moved 50m down the road !!! grrrr

gah, made 3 characters to the arse end of tier 2, but the exp grind is too much for me :/

Warrior priest i got bored of not being really able to kill anything

White lion I got bored of pet banging its head against a wall, meaning my dps was down 20% and I couldnt really kill much

Engineer is "okish" in rvr but I cant stand it in pve, as mobs tend to actually walk towards me and as im rifleman, there goes that dps "and i cant really kill much"

ps, I fkin hate shamans.

levelling in WAR is real easy, quest and queue for scenario's will give you a steady inflow of xp/inf .. all MMo's have some form of grind to gain xp but thats a given ..

all the classes have good and bad, but you have to at least hit lvl 11 before you start to get accustomed to their exact style and from lvl 20 onwards you will have enough skills to keep you busy and entertained ..

Get the diebuffsdie or buffthrottle mods - this should resolve your lag issues in rvr/scenarios

Just ordered WAR. Now need to decide on a class, hmmmm would prefer to be do combat and not magic etc. Anybody got any suggestions? Also Order or destruction?

Just wait until you get it, read the manual descriptions and pick. I dont know why people like people to choose characters for them. That kills the fun!

I think there are a fair few guilds on OcUK now, we have one called The Godless on Axe Bite Pass. We aren't hardcore players, and there are currently only a few of us, we just play for a laugh, we are on the side of order if you fancy joining. It doesn't matter how new you are to these games, we will help without making you feel like a tool :)

Having said that, I've played with a few OcUKers in my time and the above is probably true for most of them :)

Give us a shout if you are up for joining.

Sword Master (Elf)
Ironbreaker (Dwarf)

Are two that spring to mind

For ranged damage (bow) Shadow warrior.

I think, I've not played these classes btw.

Often in a new game like this there are some severe nerfs required which may only become apparent after several hours of play, there's no harm in asking advice.

We've now got two guilds on Sea of Dreams now, The Soul Collectors and The Soul Reapers since we have over 500 members now

On Friday we raided 5 keeps in T2, destructions didn't know what hit them :D

I was quite flattered on Saturday as one of the guild bosses said he'd spotted how good of a leader I was and gave me control of the guild all day Saturday while he setup the second guild.

I took us on two keep raids, took loads of outposts and had a battle that went on for about 2 hours at Mandreds Keep in Ostlands defending it against Destruction (again).

The huge keep raid we did just left me saying "this is what I bought the game for" :D

Really loving this so far, I'm only R18 and RR16 but can't get enough.

Being put in charge of the guild though, that was awesome... takes up so much of your time though, I hardly got any levelling done at all that day apart from on the raids.

Get that all the time with this game. We were at the keep in troll country defending it from order on saturday night. Big group of order guys were on the 1st floor of the keep with 1 healer standing back healing all his team m8s, i charged at him and hit him with a repel, sending him flying off the edge of the keep :) His m8s didnt last too long without him.

Times like that the game just feels really polished.

Do you reckon it's easier to rank up RR at the same time as EXP? So far i'm keeping my RR at 1:1 with my exp rank, but it's time consuming. Would it be easier to level up then go back and do RVR for Renown?

What exactly is a 'tier'? I hear people mention it all the time and I still don't have a clue :(
My IB is now lvl15 though :)

It basically means that when your fighting people inside your own teirs in scenarions and such you, the lower ranked players in your tier will be boosted so that they stand a chance.

A level 12 player will be buffed to level 18 in scenarios so that when he comes up against a level 20 or level 21 player he'll still fight okay :)

You'll notice that when you hit rank 12, you cannot enter any tier 1 scenarios (like Nordenwatch) as you're now "too good" for that level.

I believe rank 22 gets you to tier 3, and 32 is tier 4.
