I am undecided whether to get the C905 or N96.

I had the N95 before which I loved, I usually go for the phone with the best camera at the time, but after using the N95 I like the GPS and internet browsing. However the N96 does not really seem much different than the n95, apart from looks and speed and a few other little features.

So I feel the C905 has the better camara out of the two. But I will want to use the GPS occasionally to find my way, but not very often. I also want to be able to access the internet on my phone daily to access emails and websites

Now what is the diofferance between the n96 and C905 for accessing internet. The N96 is supposed to be built to browse the interent , but how much different can it be than the c905 for accessing internet? Thanks for your help

The main difference between the two is that the N96 is a smartphone and the C905 isn't.

The C905 will happy browse the web with Opera Mini but you won't get the advanced features of the N96's WebKit-based browser - such as Flash.

Neither has a particularly good e-mail client but at least with the N96 you can download the brilliant ProfiMail as a replacement to the built-in client.

I have no idea about camera quality. I'm sure some comparisons will pop up on the internet though. If you're looking for the absolute best camera, have you considered the Samsung i8510? It runs the same S60 software as the N95 and N96 but has a very good 8MP camera.

Yes i did consider the i8510 but I didnt think it got very good reviews. I dont particually like the look of it either, although that isnt really the main factor. I do like using S60 as I was used to tah ton my n95. To me it just seems like there is little differeence between my n95 and n96. I kinda wanted something very different. And I used to have a SE k800i a while ago which i loved, espeacially with the zenon flash. I dont think im that bothered about the advanced internet features. I only want it to check my google email, and use things like ebay and amazon.

I do however know there are loads of 3rd party apps for s60 which I would miss with the c905 although to be honest most of them were just not really that useful i downloaded a few which i thought were pretty cool, but in the end i never really used them.

GSM Arena and Mobile-Review both gave glowing write ups to the i8510.

Mobile-review concluding "All in all, the i8510 does the same thing as the Nokia N95 a while ago; and even though it won't be able to repeat the latter's success, it has already raised the bar to a completely new level. Now all other manufacturers will be trying to reach it, while some won't be able to come up with a worthy rival to the INNOV8 even a year from now"

I dont know what it is about taht phone but i just dont really like it. I have never liked samsung phones. I kinda always had my mind set on the n96 or c905 really.

You can use the full youtube website on the N96, you cant on the C905, in addition the speakers, screen are far better on the N96 (the bigger screen makes it better for internet) and the iplayer is a bit of a killer app on the N96 (cant use iplayer on C905).

To be honest I am in my final year at uni, and I do not travel on a bus train or car every day, so i wont really get any time to watch videos on it. I just want *** best camera and video capture, with a decent flash. A phone that will let me do online shopping, on ebay amazon etc. Check sites such as overclockers. and let me read emails and maybe send emails. Along with a phone that has good enough GPS to guide me by car sometimes but most of the time on foot.
