Tough one - Antec 900 Water cooled build!!

I'm gonna squeeze a my Sammy F1 in there somewhere... I normally suspend hard drives in elastic so I should be able to manage it. My DVD-RW is external.

Nothing special, just a Laing pump and Fuzion cpu cooler in the loop also, but I have a 160.1 rad which I'm tempted to place on top of the 200mm fan also! :D

I'm building this PC for quietness as I'll be using it for music production... Hopefully it should be done by the weekend.

I was tempted to do that - use the Antec 200mm fan for a pa160, but I expect it doesn't provide anywhere near enough static pressure to get much air through it so I didn't bother.

Looking good btw!

I'm pretty much finished... I'll grab a pic in a min, the HD is now in place, I just need to connect a few more wires before I fire it up. :)

My 160mm rad turned out to be Alu, so I didn't use it in the end. the 120.3 will be fine anyway.

holy thread resurrection!!

finally got mine finished bar a few quick internal lights to add - will get a picture up later today for sure!!

had a similar issue with the hard drives so ended up with 2 of my 3 hard drives at the bottom of the case and bought a icybox for my back up drive which is only used once a month and will just hook that up via usb.

Defo pictures later

booyaka: Nice, looking forward to pics. :)

I finally finished mine also, hard drive is in and it's all up and running... I'm finding the 200mm fan is too noisy (very "clicky") on low speed tho, and ideas on how to fix this? I don't mind running it slower if that is possible?

Anyway, pics:

what about optical drives lol
External.

what about optical drives lol

errmm:rolleyes:

basically i have nothing connected as an optical drive at the moment - i do have a sata cable and power cable that is at the back of my case so that i can just plug the dvd drive in if needed but i have not needed a dvd drive for nearly 2 months now.

If it is needed i could always just mount on my laptop and get it via the network in the house.

For what it's worth, a 22ohm resistor tamed the 200mm fan a little, it's slightly less clicky now.
looks like a Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev. 2 VGA Cooler
Yep - I was gonna watercool my 8800gt but the Accelero is such a great cooler I'm gonna stick with air for that.

i had the same but decide since i was watercooling i might as well go the full hog.

Nice work Mike but a little messy for my liking!!!!;)

Cheers, I'd probably be able to make it a little neater is there was more room in the case, but it's really crammed in there! I'm glad I managed to route the 24 power cable behind the motherboard tray... I don't want to fiddle with it too much more now as it's all working fine (touch wood!)

How's your rig going?

I'm going to wait until I've got my OS' installed and have done some stress testing. If nothing more in the case needs tweaking then I'll see if I can clear up some of the cables. Right now I have the side panel off as I have a 2nd hard drive connected, and cables are everywhere!

Generally the finished article however small things still to do -

Some small subtle internal lighting (red ones!)
Change the sata cables to red ones (going with the red/black theme)
Going to add some PrimoChill over the tubing in black.
Small tidy up with the cabling at the bottom area around the psu
Tidy up the small cables behind the front grills

Pretty pleased with it. The picture of the front of the case looks actually worse because the flash reflects off the wiring and the hard drives to make them look really obvious but in the norm the are hardly noticable.

Any questions or comments fire away

Now running @ 3.4ghz my Q6600 so further than it went under air (it's a crap early 1.325vid) put 1.65v through it and bumped most of the other main components by loads of voltage and can't get it prime stable any higher!!

Nice, your setup is definately a lot cleaner! :D Good idea putting the res on the top. I wish I installed a res now as it's a PITA getting bubbles out using a t-piece and fillport... Nice choice of motherboard also (gigabyte 4tw). ;)

What res is that and does it clip on to the 200mm fan grill?

It is Alphacool Cape Coolplex Pro 25 Reservoir. - it's not attached physically to the grill yet but a couple of cable ties will do the job.
