Tongue Piercing Care

You take "spur" to a whole new level.

Hardly. A tongue piercing is completely reversible and won't leave you with any 'consequences' should you decide to not have it anymore, it's hardly a big decision. No more than piercing your ear.

Women appreciate them too ;)

On the subject of piercings, who here has a PA? Getting mine done as soon as I get the courage together :p

I went to have it done a few weeks back but he didn't have the needles there at the time, kept calling back for a few days but only now he has got them in. Need to get the right mindset back to get it done, was tempted earlier on today when I called in but I need to wait untill payday again I think!

whyyyyyy

If you lack the intelligence to edit a typo how do you expect people to take your opinion seriously? (not that anyone who goes by the name "SoSolid" would ever be taken seriously anyway...)

Not small ones...Get it over 4mm and it is much more noticeable/useful/feels better. Small tongue piercings move around too much.

Had a PA for around 8 years now. Had it pierced at 3.2mm, currently wearing an 8mm ring with a 17mm internal diameter which is perfectly snug when erect with no gap between ring and wang. :p

With a PA you should get it pierced as large as possible. 2.4mm minimum.

What are even more fun are beads ;) :p

To the OP:

Get a 500ml water bottle, put a capful of alcohol-free mouthwash in it and top up with water. Carry it with you and use it to rinse your mouth after everything you eat/drink.

Still do a saline rinse twice a day using one level teaspoon of sea salt in one pint of boiled water, soak the piercing for 5 minutes then rinse.

Some swelling is normal up to a month after piercing.

Look after it and litfa.

Had my tongue for over 2 years now. Iced water is your friend ;) Get a non alcoholic mouthwash too, and use it twice a day. Just be careful with it. My swelling went down to acceptable levels after about 4 days.

In reply to you VTR, I got my PA about 4 weeks ago now, and it's flippin great :D It bled solidly for about 18 hours which was a bit off-putting (there was a lot of blood loss too), but no more since. It hurts like hell when done, but no more than 8 - 10 secs TBH, it's not hurt since, just can be a little "uncomfortable". Well worth it tho, used it carefully a few times now, and the missus loves it :D

What is it with this generation's fashions (and yes, it is fashion not individualism) that makes you want to stick a load of metal in yourselves? Surely tongue studs are to help with Horatio and PAs are to draw attention away from otherwise lacking members? All seems a bit puffy to me, but I'm from the generation which thinks base trimming is military cutbacks, so what do I know. Enjoy, I suppose.

Takes all sorts I suppose.

Not at all. I got both (and indeed all) piercings for me, not anyone else.

Not at all what?

So if a tongue stud isn't to help you pleasure others, what does it do (other than give you a speech impediment and an annoying habit of wiggling it around in your mouth)? & what is the theory behind a PA? (ok, I'm asking in a cheeky way but I am actually interested. :))

Yeah, I don't get why people think that stuff like this is done for others. I got my ear done for myself, not anyone else.

I'd like another one, but I have nothing that I'd want to get done, I loved the feeling of getting my ear done (some people find that strange :p), whilst I would really like to get another one done, I have no area I'd comfortably get pierced. :(
