The Story of the Guitar

He's a fantastic guitarist. It sounds like they haven't just gone for the obvious mainstream guitarists, which is a good thing.

Not sure,

Anyone watched the Les Paul documentary?

If you haven't its well worth your time :)

Just remembered there was a Guitar Heros on BBC4 to (now on BBCi) worth a watch too.

this ep wasnt TOO bad, nice to see a bit of info on guitar effects to kinda finish off the series.....though that air-guitar bit could have done with being left out really lol

The Les Paul documentary was damn good :) also still amazed he's so mobile at 93 let alone performing every Monday night lol

Why do they still give Malcolm McLaren airtime coming out with his complete mythical crap that the Sex Pistols couldn't play?
Cook, Jones & Matlock could rock with the best of them.
Granted that Jones was just a barre chorder but I remember hearing about his skill in the studio which counts for a lot.
The producer would ask him to play a completely different part, he'd have a quick think, start the tape and in one take do it.
He was also asked to do the bass without ever playing a bass before and did all those tracks in one take.
A legend in my eyes.
