Do you freeze 'Bread'...?

I don't eat much bread and owing to that I just freeze it and use it when I need it - means I can keep it for when I need to use it rather than waste food buy buying fresh bread that I just have to throw away.
 
Fair enough if you only use it for toast but defrosting bread is madness, unless you like your bread a bit stale. And if you eat fresh bread you'd be as well using it for your toast as well.

Freezing bread is the lowest form of economising. :p

Seems many of us are mad now as well? :rolleyes: :)

And there's me thinking using both sides of toilet paper was the lowest form of economising...? We'll have putting a loaf of bread in a freezer was responsible for WW2 in a minute!

You recon you can taste the difference? I recon I'd be hard pushed with brown bread and whole wheat rolls etc... And in the case of toast, nigh on impossible?

Yes I can most definitely tell the difference, toasting it though isn't too bad, but using it for sandwiches is a big no no, the biggest annoyance isn't just the difference the taste difference though, but the texture of the bread changes also, it's never as light and spongy as it is before it's been frozen.

Have always had bread frozen on the day of purchase and have never had any problems with it - it's better than having it go nasty and of course can just be toasted from the freezer :)
