Anyone got their SE xperia!!! what do you think?

I use way over 2gb per month (on O2) but never got any messages telling me to stop or been charged extra. Then again I use it for emails purely and not much on browsing and I have been with them for many years and probably spent enough to buy a brand new car.

I spoke to O2 again today and they said sometime this coming week to taking orders. I will phone them again tomorrow.
How the heck are you using more than 2Gb on emails?!? Youd have the be constantly sending them or have massive attachments with them...

Attachments, all PPTs/XLS mainly :)

Destroys my battery, my poor Stellar can't last a working day without being on charge for a bit.

PS I think I meant to write 200mb!

Any one know if T-Mobile will be getting this?

Something id like to know as well...spoke to tmobile this morning they havent a clue as to what i was on about. Now my contract is up in Jan so hopefully if tmobile carry this then it could very well be my next phone...if not then im hoping that tmobile will either carry the new HTC HD or i could be looking at the new blackberry bold.

Go ahead ask me questions.... I've not got time for a full writeup at the moment, but Ill take specifics :D

  1. Did you buy it Simfree?
  2. Does it use the standard WM6.1 email client?
  3. How is the reaction of the keyboard? XDAs have a problem sometimes of lag between pressing a key and seeing on screen
  4. General speed?

Does it have :

Hand-writing recognition?

Geo-tagging of pictures?

Ability to use only one hand to text? (one-handed-texting)

Can it take an 8GB microSD?

Can it essentially be used as a mini-mini-laptop?

Can you browse the web using wifi for free? (on my home WLAN)

Does it get sluggish over use? Once you used a few progs and shut them down and returning to it later...

How well does it come out of standby?

How representative are webpages on the browser compared to a normal full-fat browser?

Picture quality? Both in normal daylight and in poor light conditions?

How hard is it to upload a photo you have taken to Imageshack?

1. No, I'm a Developer who works with Sony Ericsson.
2. Yes, I believe it does.
3. Keyboard speed, excellent.
4. Overall Speed, normal windows mobile speed.

1) Yes, its pretty good.
2) Not found any geotagging stuff, doesn't mean its not there. I dont play it on much.
3) One handed texting is too hard.
4) I believe so, should take SDHC.
5) I wouldnt use it as mini laptop, far to fiddly.
6) Yep, WiFi works fine, and free if at home.

1) Doesn't seem to slowdown to much, easy to monitor resources and close stuff down if needed, but I haven't needed too.

2) Comes out of standby fine, fairly speedy.

3) Browser is Mobile IE, which is useless. Also comes with Mini opera, which is great :D

4) Not really designed as a camera phone, but seems ok, for spontaneous snaps, don't expect SLR.

5) Not tried, I'd probably say quite hard.

Ahhh so you are using it without any network bloat - probably helps a lot...

With regards to uploading a pic, on my Vario 3 its a nightmare as when using IE the folder where photos are saved isnt browsable so you have to move the file first before you can find it :/

How stupid is that

Hoe do you compare it to other similar functioning phones?

I'll try and have a play with it later, just struggling with my C905 at the moment :(
