Do you think you have someone elses dream job?

I'm a trainee carpenter. When I'm done and get all the qualifications and certs, I'll be working for a major contractor (mostly site work, some minor bench work). I'm told at least once a week by people who voice that they wish they had taken the profession up instead of their current jobs, even in the uncertain construction industry climate right now (of which it should be in much better shape when I'm done with training).

Not sure, i just didn't imagine a single person who aspires to work in a brewery as having a wife.

Maybe the wife is why they want to work in a brewery. ;)

If memory serves penski is working as manager of an 'alternative' clothing shop so he gets to show young ladies corsets and the like. I'm not sure that counts as my dream job either but it is unlikely to be that much worse than what I'm doing just now. :)

I'm spending tomorrow taking photos of young ladies modelling our stuff for our webstore...It's a tough job but I guess that someone has to do it.

Someone dreams of driving a Carppy mitsubishi canter with a 7.5 ton body on the back & drives like a sloth for 700 miles a week  :(

No doubt there are a few out there who would like my job. Wearing a uniform that the girlies like (although I fail to see why), firefighting and driving fire engines.
I think you guys are the modern knights in shining armour... the romance of the uniform tending to revolve around the idea of being carried to safety by a big, strong, rugged...

...ooh...

Oh, where was I? Maybe I do. I get to devise, design, program, test, debug, and generally play with electronics and microelectronics. Could be worse - but it's a lot of monitor-time.

I doubt it, but I do get to cook and eat as much Indian food as I want which I love, when you consider Indian food is the the most popular food in the UK I'm sure some people would like it, I know my KP's love the fact that they can eat free Indian food everyday, I think they must eat the equivalent of £80's worth of food off the menu every week (cheeky buggers), I have one KP here atm who's actually said before that if it wasn't for the free food he probably wouldn't even be here lol, kids.

Christ...The idea with 'dream' jobs is to set your sights higher than where you are at the moment.

^ And? thats my dream job ... or if you want a dream dream job

CEO of Vodafone McLaren :)

I really don't know.. I wouldn't wish my stress on anyone.

My job is talking in riddles to paramedics over an out-dated radio and being shouted at repeatedly by my divisional controller.

I worked there full time for two years after school, and also a year part time doing a PLC course. Only started college this year at aged 22 :o

My dream job now would be game development probably.

Only if they watch CSI and believe what they see. Which, judging by the number of people who are doing the pointless "Forensic Science" degrees in various universities, seems to be several thousand people a year.
