The rep is quoted as saying, regarding MGS4, "We're actively looking into a release for the Xbox 360." While this isn't a confirmation of it coming, it does lend hope to those Xbox 360 owners who haven't plunked down money on a PS3.

:eek::eek:

Heh sweet :D If this came on the 360 - all I'd need then is a blu-ray player and I'd be able to ditch my PS3 :p
By the way the image is definatly fake - says "Only on XBOX 360" at the top :p

So a Konami rep said they are investigating possibly doing a put on the 360 (from the proper quote), someone better tell Kojima as its his property lol. Be nice for those who havent played MGS4 to experience it, but if people wanted to play the game that much they would have a PS3 anyway? It would be an interesting port as it would have to have several scenes re-done, probably sound/texture quality reduced. MGS4 uses compressed 5.1 audio (not uncompressed 7.1 like a few PS3 titles do) so cant save space on the audio side that much. Personally I think the money required to re-make the game for the 360 wouldnt make it that profitable, and the fact that MS only like to publish multiple disk games themselves, like the issue with Rage, like i said those who want to play it should already have done.
BTW why would it have an only on xbox sign on it?:confused:

That's false, it is uncompressed audio, they can cut 40GB off the audio. I don't know what else is taking up the space on the disk because it's a short linear game.

I guess the PMC adverts are in 1080p, thats probably a good few gigs.

I have a lovefilm account if I want to rent films. I suppose I could use my plug and play kit to charge up the controller while the cutscenes are playing.

As much as I like MGS4 I really can't think of why it would be any bigger than 5GB at most, except for audio and pre-renders. The actual gameplay content itself is pretty thin on the ground (the game acknowledges this by giving you a short 5 hour limit for the upper ranks). I've played on far more exhaustive and bigger games.

If it came that would be good, but it's not like it's the holy grail of games. Personally I would rather it stay on PS3 as each console needs some major exclusives and those on XBox360 don't seem to be going over to PS3 as regular as those going the other way.

Kojima Productions own the Metal Gear series, and Kojima himself has said that he won't be doing a 360 version. Money talks at the end of the day but in this case the IP belongs to a developer not a publisher so unless Kojima is poor (highly doubt) then I can't see him changing his views which he has stated on at least a couple of occasions in the past...

Yes but not everything in life is down to money.. no doubt he's been working on this 'masterpeice' for many years, and now he's possibly looking for the millions and millions of 360 owners to also enjoy it.

Just a theory.
