IN NEED OF GRAPHICS CARD FOR 1080P

Hey joni944,

deffo pick up one of the new Radeon HD4670 cards, as mentioned they are the bees knees for Full HD viewing, they have a number of video enhancements over the older HD38xx series including the ability to upscale DVD to HD which sounds neat!

And not that it's a priority for you but should you fancy some gaming the HD4670 is suprisingly good at rendering games in HD resolution (1280x720)

This card is an absolute bargain!

This card is an absolute bargain!
I like the fact they don't need extra power meaning they consume less compared to Nvidia's 9600-series which this card competes with

But the 4650 might be better because passively (noiseless) cooled one's are available.

Just wondering would nt it be better buying a motherboard with built in hdmi output and graphics card. they start from £32. they all output 1080p.
this is what iam planning to do, for around £100.

All modern cards will do 1080p. 1080p isn't exactly a massive res - 1920x1080.

You're half right.

My 2600XT will only do 1920x1080i@30hz, it won't do 1920x1080p@60hz. It will do the higher refresh rate over DMI, but the HD-TV (HDMI) connection is more limited.

The limitation is detailed in the manual, and experienced my me.
Annoying, and just discovered to my cost!
