Was just wondering if I updated a few components out of my old set up,would

I be likeley to see much or little differance to what i'm running now??

Currently have cooling just my cpu (q6600 go @3.2 temps idle 30-31 on tat)

Black ice 2 240 rad-front mounted in a Antec 900 case

Apogee water block

Swiftech mcres-1000p pump/reservoir

Standard Tri-cool fans from the 900

I was thinking about keeping the pump/res and the 240 rad

and replacing the cpu block and fans for some higher cfm ones

Going to get a new mobo soon,so hoping to push the Quad a bit further

into 3.6 /3.8 territory.

So I was just wondering if this would be worthwhile in order to achieve this

and maybe reduce the temps a bit more?

Cheers in advance :)

Changing the CPU block wont make a huge difference to the temps to be honest. If you can I would try get a Thermochill rad in the front, they are slightly bigger than the Black ice though (by 30mm i believe off top of my head) so make sure it will fit :)

Cheers for the reply :)

Would a thermochill make that much differance over the black ice??

Tbh I don't think i've got even 30mm spare.it's a little cramped at the front :)

Yes it would and its the obvious thing to upgrade if your looking for better performance. You could always run it externally and then you would also have the option of keeping the black ice in the loop for even more performance :D
