Coming up in a couple of weeks, anyone else going to the awards this year? Been going the last 3 years, always been good :)

Whos gonna get number 1 this year? I guess it has to be either Armin or Van Dyk, and im guessing Deadmau is gonna enter the charts pretty highly. Awesome lineup anyway!

I care not.

After many years, I've come to realise that it's the music that matters, not who plays it.

Plus the silly poll is in no way indicative of a djs skills, merely how well they have been marketed/can spam people for votes :p

I agree that a top 100 is silly but a great DJ makes all the difference to the music in my opinion.

I saw High Contrast a couple of months back. Not only did he play good music, he knew how to play the crowd. He got the whole room jumping and hanging off every beat. The atmosphere was absolutely stunning. Someone else playing the same records wouldn't have had the same effect.

I notice deadmau5 on that flyer, i hope he comes no where no the top after his comments about DJing. What a tool

Agreed, High Contrast is a master in his trade. Another couple from the same genre would be Nicky Finn, Mampi Swift, Diesel Boy, Noisia and Benny Page :)

Something along the lines of that he doesn't 'get' DJing, thinks it's irrelevant and that the day of the DJ is over.

I'm trying to find the quote but can't seem to find it

im guessing he doesnt "get" djing because he actually seems like the sorta person who has never actually been clubbing before and that the first time he entered a club was when someone offered him some cash to bring a crowd in using his name.

i like some of his tracks but i cant ******* stand the guy.

i can say the same about most the djs near the top of the DJ mag chart though.

i think i voted for pat sharp in this one but if i was being serious then id of voted for mr alkan or weatherall

Yeah I've heard the quote.

But from having seen him dj I've got to say he does take it rather seriously.

He's going to end up in the top 5 simply because he's the 'in thing' atm.

It's all part of the show, maaaaaaaaaaaaan.

But seriously, it was probably the best night I've had this year.

What a rubbish selection of DJs...

Also, probably my favourite DJ in terms of how he works the crowd is Shy FX....he ***** all over most of the "new" dnb DJs, every single one of his live sets is immense....
