Yep, you can tell how good the film's going to be from a picture of the actors that are in it.
No, you can't really tell how it's going to be until you see it but you can get a feel for what it will be like from the photos and, in my opinion, the look and feel of the film that these photos give is all wrong.
From what I remember reading about a while ago, part of the film will involve Spock learning to deal with his half-human side. Remember, he's not 100% Vulcan, only half.
Rarely, in the older ones, but the newer eps I think they liked to throw it out a lot.
Spock being angry, and having to deal with his emotions in the new film just sounds wrong to me. He was portrayed as kind of hating his human side, and he always attempted to be more logical and unemotional than even normal vulcans.
It just sounds like the general thing you throw out, to make a character interesting.
Its reminds me of that Lost in Space film that had that bloke from Friends in it...

The pictures make you think its been Holywood'ed as one of the top posters said. Bright lights look too sparkly and technical. Old enterprise NEVER looked like that.

Have to agree, this looks awful. I also have to admit to being a "slight" fan of Star Trek and this just reminds me of the micky take they did on Stargate of the "younger" SG1 team. Will wait for the DVD on this I think, which I suspect will not be long after the film is released.

Urgh "Lost in plot" too. Watched it with some friends and they thought the plot was okay but the general film a bit rubbish, until I explained the horrific paradox it was. Absolutely atrocious.

I saw it at the cinema when I was much younger, can't remember much of it though so no harm done.
