One of the only places I can fill up is Tesco, Buckingham, where the price of petrol is 106.9p per litre. I did comment today when I had to put in a thimble full, that it is a shame that Tesco management can't read, otherwise they would have noticed in today's papers that petrol has gone down in price everywhere else. The assistant told me that they wouldn't be putting it down as next week they are offering 5p per litre off again.

With the other supermarkets putting their prices down, how many millions are Tesco, once again ripping the public off for, whilst holding their price up for a few days. If I could I would not fill up there, but the other local petrol stations peg their prices accordingly and they are off my route anyway.

GRRRRRRRRRRRR.:(

In the town I live we used to have three independent petrol stations. Then Tesco moved in and undercut them until eventually they all went out of business. Tesco are now the only petrol station in the town and they are at least 4p more expensive per litre than petrol stations in neighbouring towns.

I don't shop at Tesco anymore.

Tesco are normally cheapest round here, even cheaper when they do the voucher offers. I accelerated a bit harder on the way home to celebrate cheaper petrol.

99.9p in morrisons when i filled up today, good to see it back in double figures, if only for a day or two before it rockets up again =(

I got told a while back that esso and tesco work together within there tesco branded stations. Not sure but i guess this would have something to do with their prices. But correct me if i;m wrong as I'm not 100% on this at all.

I managed to find a place that sells for 104.9p a litre at minimum. Will we ever see prices going below 100p ever?

edit: I'm a moron and didn't fully read the thread. New question: will we ever see a stable price below 100p ever? :p

Noticed it was 99.9p at Shell/Sainsburys todayu, was well impressed! Tesco round my bit is usually cheaper than the Shells/Essos round my bit aswell.

Hopefully not as oil dropped $10 today. Maybe we can get back to prices 2 years ago when petrol was about 84p.

Problem is the govenment have seen how the British public continued filling up their cars when petrol hit 120p+ so expect tax on fuel to rise very soon to pay for the bank bail out.

The tax rise on fuel will come, they just froze it for a bit

Tescos are usually the ones still profiteering where everyone else has lowered their prices.

However don't expect prices to stay low. Now is the perfect time for the government to sneakily edge in that 2p fuel tax ****** that they had lined up before. Just you watch.
