i've bought xilence red wings for mine, just waiting for the damn heatsink to be released

infact i bought 8x 80mm and 2x 92mm since they were selling them at £2.29 each!

just got 2 sharkoons from ocuk on the way home

they are dead quiet but dont push that much air - i guess a good compromise
never had a 92mm fan before now though

i guess it will beat the stock cooler hands down

We have these on the way, not sure on exact dates as coolers are Gibbo "hi there" territory.

Should be on the site soon, check out on the new arrivals bit on the front page. :)

I've just done the same (92mm Red Wing), although ordered 3 of them as I plan to strap one to the back of card too. At the moment I have a 80mm Red Wing on there which works great but I will move that to case as I have a 80mm side inlet.

cheers for the update Yewen..

one thing ocuk needs more of is shop-side input

you, gibbo and slackworth all do a great job, but other shops have dedicated sections in forums where they only deal with shop queries.. i realise it may be hard to administer it all, but it's a nice touch, and quite often saves giving the same response to multiple customers (like you'd have to do over tickets)

Hi there

Stock is confirmed as shipped from far east today, should arrive with ourselves mid-end next week.

Unfortunately quantity is limited as Thermalright had a manufacturing issue which mean half of the stock was unsuitable, so were only getting half our requested amount.

Will place product on site for pre-order later today but do be quick as we only have a few hundred and these could sell out within a week.

Thermalright T-Rad2 VGA Cooler (ATI / NVIDIA)

The Thermalright T-Rad² design is much different to that of the old HR-03 and it makes for a much easier installation process. The heatsink is designed to be light and slim, measuring just 25mm tall while still offering a large cooling surface area. In total the heatsink weighs just 360 grams, which is not a great deal heavier than the reference cooler found on the Radeon HD 4850. The heatsink is made up using a mass of fins measuring 10.5cm wide and 1.5cm tall. These aluminum fins are connected to the copper base plate via six nickel plated copper heatpipes. The heatpipes are extremely long and disperse the heat through all 82 fins. The copper base measures 4.3cm x 4.5cm and is just 4mm thick. Thermalright used nickel-plated heatpipes to reduce the oxidation effect, maintaining top performance for long term usage. It is possible to use two different fan size configurations with the T-Rad² and while dual 92mm fans will provide the best results, a single 120mm fan is a quieter option. Again, please keep in mind that no fans are included. Compatibility is limited as the T-Rad² only supports graphics cards with the mounting holes 7.5cm apart, which thankfully includes many of the more recent Radeon and GeForce graphics cards. Now because the T-Rad² features a triple slot design, SLI and Corssfire compatibility can be tricky. Thankfully almost all high-end Intel motherboards, for example, space the PCI Express 16x slots far enough apart to support the use of dual T-Rad² coolers. Still, if you plan to install the T-Rad² on SLI/Crossfire cards, make sure you have at least two other slots separating the PCIe x16 slots.

not really - not when you factor in the price of other coolers and the performance of this

the last top end thermalright solution is a few quid less than this and is stomped by the TRad2 performance wise

It's not worth paying over a THIRD of the amount it cost me for my 4850 to overclock it 10~20 Mhz.

Its not just the headroom (however small) you will get though, the stock ATI cooler is loud, no doubt about it. I have mine set to 30% and its by far the loudest part of my PC. I hope with this cooler + 2 Red Wing 92mm my rig will be close to silent.
