Had an idea brewing for a few weeks now and did some research into it a few days ago. Basically, the text is the motto of my family name - it translates as 'In the cross is salvation'

Also, if people could recommend any places in the Portsmouth area for getting it done in that would be great. I don't want some sleezy guy doing it in a dirty area etc, don't mind paying a bit more for quality too. If I get it done, it will be my first so if anyone would care to share any experiences, advice, preparation and maintaining that would be great :)

Haha, no it's the surname motto.
I'm still not overly sure of location, had thought about shoulder blade

Theres a place called "Tattoo Asylum" on the Albert Road in Pompey. Can't think of anywhere else off the top of my head.

My Latin is a little rusty, but doesn't that translate as "Salvation from the cross"?

According to some stuff we dug out over the summer, there's an old hand written document that has the translation that I put in the OP.

i cant imagine it actually means anything to him.

Don't judge me without knowing me.

Don't go there, my mate was really not impressed at all with that place, apparently the guy tried to pass off work as his own when it clearly wasn't his.

I had mine done at Lady Luck on Fawcett Road, she was really good i thought. :)
