Man of Honour, Underboss, Don etc

I didn't think it was elections that got them the positions, thought it was Spie's decision based on whatever he wanted, which frankly is his right as it's his damn forum!

Not sure elections would work on here to be honest, we'd have Rick Astley for a mod the instant he was put up for it.

And I have more, and have a better one. :D

Dons are admins, Underbosses are Mods/mini-Mods, Men of Honour have done something in the year that is under their name to give them the status, they have no special powers. :)

Not strictly true.

On most boards our setup is: Commissarios - Admins, Dons - Super Moderators, Underboss - Teaboy/help out the moderators, MOH is a special title for people who have made huge contributions to the forums over the past year.

MOH you have to make one massive continued contribution to get, kudos to all of you out there.

In my experience as a forum admin, many members (being typical internet idiots) don't even know the difference between admins and mods, so how they're expected to understand the difference between staff here... :p

Commissario - Administrator. Can make changes to the forum, database, user profiles etc.

Don - Moderator. Can ban, edit/delete/move/close posts, access to the Dons Room.

Underboss - Tell tale tit :p Basically a normal user but with access to private messaging and a hidden forum for reporting rule breakages and posting pornography. They are like an extra set of eyes for the Dons.

Men of Honour - Apppointed at the end of every year. The mod team will get together and choose a handful of members who have excelled themselves on the forums throughout the previous year either by being extremely helpful, contributing quality posts or by bribing the mod team with alcohol.

Ok upstage my explanation why don't you. :(

As this is now a question and answer thread :D

I have seen forum members produce a list of how many times a person has posted in a certain thread. Is there a special way to do this?

On the main thread listing, where it lists replies and views click the reply number. :)

Buy me some whiskey and I'll give you credit for it :p

Currently wading through a bottle of Glennfiddich at the moment.

Click on the number of replies on the forum index. Eg. if a post in GD is showing 69 replies, click on the number 69.

Edit: Bah, Yewen you ninja fingered git.
