Hello

I have just about brought all my bits and will in the next few days look to start building my first PC, if you see many posts from me please bear with me if you can.

I am not sure which audio (HD or AC97) connectors to connect onto the mother board. If you look at the attchment, the pin layout on the left is the MB and on the right the case. Pin 6 on HD Audio is GND while on the antec it is MIC2_JD. If you look at AC97 they both match so would you say I can only connect AC97 from the front panel audio cable?
Sorry could note add attachment
thanks

about the audio connections, i think it comes down to if you using onboard hd audio or ac97. i would have thought that it was hd as its a p45 motherboard. but it should say the motherboard manual or even the box.

about the case speaker, most motherboards have one actually on the motherboard. my motherboard does. most new cases tend not to come with a case speaker.

Also, I note the antec P182 does NOT have a case speaker, so is there some other way of having this function?

My motherbooard never came with any speakers so i bought a "Motherboard Testing Switch Set" you get a little speaker two little leds and two swithches for power and reset, for about £5.

great for if your motherboard is outside your case, for any reason.
