Check out this Merlin-engined hotrod:

3000HP, from a spitfire engine, in a car. Took years to put together. Can anyone beat that for power/insanity?

Remember reading that in a max power mag a few years back. Totally insane. To add more irony it's most proberly one of the most pollutant cars in this country yet it is exempt from tax.

Although nowhere near on the levels of those two I'd call the 1 TVR Speed 12 pretty bloody mad. Awesome machine. 2x the power to weight ratio of the Veyron, in someting nailed together in bristol

If you take some stuff out, you can fit a Hayabusa 1300R engine in a Smart ForTwo.

I think you get about 2mpt. No, not a typo'd two miles per hour. Two miles per tire
