Hi I am watching Independance Day on normal TV and enjoying it and was thinking, why do we watch stuff broadbast on TV when we already have it on DVD. Where we can watch it any time we want.

Strange.

Interesting one, when i see a film i own on TV it tends to remind me i own it and thus like it, hence why i watch it. However if it's a channel with adverts i tend to chuck the film into my DVD player and watch it advert-free.

I watched the sum of all fears on t.v. last night even though i have it on DVD.

I was flicking through and just thought i would watch it

Why is that?

Happens all the time, the amount of times I've sat and watched a film on TV even though I have it on DVD is stupid.

The only recent time was because it was Napoleon Dynamite which is an awesome film, and also that my copy of the DVD was 350 miles away.

Otherwise I never watch broadcast movies if I have them on DVD, it makes no sense.
