Limited Funds which one to get Farcry 2 or Fallout 3

hahahaha Nothing wrong with some zombie heads 'sploding! :D I want to get fallout 3 because I'm a huge fan of bethesda's previous titles.
 
Hello there :)

Well i am getting farcry 2, sacred 2 this week from a ebay seller and fallout 3 ;).Weeks without a good game then 3 almost turn up at the same time.

Hope i can get funding from the wife to help me out :D
 
Its cheap in some places this game, so if its say 20 quid on the internet do you just print off a screen of it or take the web URL into purple shirt shop and they give you it for 18 quid?
 
I would say it depends on what type of first person shooter you want. A more traditional action packed gameplay, go for Far Cry 2, if you want a more STALKER esque RPG infused game, Fallout 3.

I agree, if you're looking for excellent fps gameplay then go for Farcry 2, if you want broken fps gameplay with a cheat mode then go for Fallout 3. Hopefully Fallout 3's rpg side will provide the extra gameplay and make up the shortfall.

I'll probably get Fallout 3 first and do the same as I did with Oblivion, play it for a week or so then uninstall it and wait for mods to actually fix the poor design decisions that bethesda made :)
 
Is Fallout 3 an fps though? Sounded to me more like the kind of fake fps system that tabula rasa had - was all stats based in the background, you only had to aim in the general direction of the mob.
 
Is it just me or do the gameplay videos of fallout look really crap? I've seen 3 or 4 and they all seem to revolve about some guy aimlessly hiking through mile after mile of post-apocolyptic rubble, occasionally bumping into randomly placed enemies and taking them out with a skilless aimbot system.

So imo the graphics look bland, the levels lack focus and direction, and having to pause the game everytime you take a shot is a real mood breaker.

I'm all for getting hyped up in preparation for a release, but aside from the general concensus that this is a "big game" I see no reason to get excited about it :/.

Nope it's full first person. I think you can go third person as with oblivion but check out the videos posting on some review site like gamespot.

Nope. I played it for about 20 minutes and decided it wasn't for me. How did you know?
