We'll I've just been pulled by the biggest **** of a copper this morning for doing 70mph in a 70!

He pulled me over and accused me of doing 90, when I know for a FACT I was doing 70 as I had it set on the cruise control. I said I wasn't speeding and he called me an f'ing liar! Can they even speak to you like that?

I got in the car and he tried to accuse me of dangerous driving because I drove past two slower moving cars on the approach to a roundabout and apparently cut them up when moving back across (him speeding after me probably cut them up more!). He then accused me of driving without due care and attention because I hadn't used my mirrors to see him behind me, which I had.

Then on seeing my licence he saw that I hadn't updated my address and said I would probably get a £1000 fine for that as well.

His attitude was so bad and he properly wound me up when I know I didn't do anything wrong for once. Said I would be getting a court summons and that I shouldn't expect to keep my licence!

He wasn't in a traffic cop car, and he had a dog in the back, he didn't have any of the usual kit they have for speed detection..

Where do you lot think I stand?

Am thinking I should have got his badge number to report that ****!

Sounds like a cop who thinks he has a power trip!
Phone the local police station and report it? Ask for evidence of you doing 90mph and so called dangerous driving.
Tbh, if there's no proof then how can they press any charges?

Sounds like an idiot. If he has no evidence which he clearly won't have if you have done nothing wrong, then like Maccy said, how can they press charges!?

Doesn't sound like a real cop to me, what car was he in, did he pull you over with blue lights, did he give you any forms?

Tbh if that was me i'd have asked for his badge number and taken down the cars numberplate.

Thats what I was hoping.. Still scared the crap out of me though! He was a real copper cos he radioed through to check my car.

Just annoyed me the way he called me an ******* liar and treated me like a real criminal! Had to hold my temper when he said that as I knew it would end up worse for me if I said anything.

Typical one of the few times I actually wasn't speeding, I get pulled! I'd have held my hands up and admitted it if I was, but this time I wasn't!

Just been thinking about this.. Is there any way I can find out through the police what the guys number was? As I think I would like to put in a complaint against him..

I'm guessing if he has logged the offences down aaginst you its gotta have some sort of ID next to it

Thats the thing.. He didn't give me anything, said I'd be waiting for a letter to come through the post then I'd go to court and lose my licence.

Was too wound up to think to get his badge number off him. Although he probably would have told me where to go if I had!

Sounds like a wannabie, not a proper Copper, never mind a traffic Cop!

I'd report it (probably, your not alone) and then forget it.

Well I've been down to see about putting a complaint against him in. The guy said to wait and see if I get a letter through the post because they can't do much without his name or number..

Did you get a verbal NIP? i.e. something like "You will be reported for consideration of the question of prosecuting you for this offence"

That guy actually sounds like a complete ****.

Sounds like the most unprofessional copper i've ever heard of tbh

Technically they should be able to find out who it was, because the PNC check would have been logged.
