Ironic as the price of oil rockets, oil cooled pc goes mainstream

Wow, that's rather impressive, not something I'd necessarily want for my PC mind, it must weigh quite a bit and I've still got this rather irrational dislike of liquid and electronics even though I know it can be perfectly safe.

Good luck to them though, I hope that they manage to succeed in the market.

price of oil rockets? you realise its back down to around the $70 a barrel mark dont you? thats half the price it was a couple of months ago, hence pretrol going down, and continnuing to fall :P

Regardless, i want one, but im not paying for it :/

There was a really good home version of that a few years ago on the net... (could ahve been toms hardware annoyingly)

But anyway i remember it not being good for a really long period of use as the oil used wouldnt dissapate the heat too quickly or something (i mean think about it, you use oil to cook with as it can get really really hot really quickly making it good for moving the heat if it has a place to go....)

still looks cool though

The idea is old news but it's the first time I've seen it done that way. I have a mag around here somewhere with a home built mineral oil cooled PIII somewhere.

like the comments say its been done before, but this is the first time someone's tried to put it on a production line, the case looks awesome mind, but imagine the weight! is around the same weight as water per 1000cm3, so your looking at an extra 7-8kg on your machine!
