Together with all the lovely games due this weekend we also have Monopoly (yes, the board game) being released for our console

So who will be buying this?

360 or PS3?

I want it because I love monopoly but I may as well wait til its half the price as it doesnt have live. As you say it could have been a 50meg xbla game.

seriously? Epic fail. This could have been the adult version of Mario Party. It could have even been a XBLA game. But no....

Yeah that's a disaster, several times I've just chatted with people over live either just because, or enough people didn't turn up to play another game, being able to play Monopoly while you chat would have been fantastic.

edit: and if its local play what if someone sulks and upturns the table ? goodbye TV !

I played this back on the PC ages ago, didn't like that it plays totally differently to the way we play at home. Needs rule customisation imo.

I've got monopoly on my ipod for £3.99, don't see what a console version would improve on it either, it plays just as monopoly should!

I'm defo going to be getting the PS3 version, apparantly the textures are much higher res and the audio is uncompressed LPCM 7.1 because of Blu-ray..

But then I've also read that the 360 version is sharper, and has a higher/more consistant framerate..

Seriously though, if they made these games £10 or similar, it'd be worth a punt for christmas, but at £29.99 that's as bad as Wii 'games'

If there's no Live, why would you bother?

For a moment I actually thought you were serious.

Used to love playing monopoly online with mates on the pc, we had some epic battles, there is no point to having this not multiplayer online, you may as well buy the board game.
