Yesterday in the works car park, I was sat in the car using my phone when this woman turns up to park next to me. Now instead of reversing into the space, she swings the front end in, and aims for the front of my car just about missing it :\ then reverses and has another attempt and gets into the space by clipping my wing mirror, not just clipping it, but closing it into the car body!

I waited while she got out to see if she would say anything, which she didnt  so I too got out and informed her that I didnt really like my mirrors anyway! She really didnt have a clue that she had done anything and asked me to prove it, so I showed her the 1" scrape she had caused on my car and the same 1" scrape on hers. She said she didnt know she had done it and was sorry...

Anyway because its a 1" scratch I walked off and left it at that, but I was half tempted to make her pay for repairs. It is only a scrape, but realistically why should I have to put up with that when it was a perfectly clean mirror casing before.

What would you guys have done?

She damaged your car which would devalue it hence she should pay. (try selling it with a scrape on it, it'll be the first thing that somebody uses to knock you down on price)

This was on the Camry btw and not MR2 (hence was less bothered)

I have NEVER had an incident before, and as it was minor i was unsure on how to approach because it felt a bit petty!

On the way home, my indicator lens decided to explode, there were no cars infront to flick a stone up etc, so im not sure what happened.

Yesterday was a bad day :(

If she'd got out and apologised immediately I wouldn't have taken it any further, but with an attitude like that I'd have made her pay.

I came out of the flat a few weeks ago to find some woman trying to fit her 3 series into the gap next to mine. It's a very tight space between my car and a wall.

As I walked over I noticed she was a little close to my car... nope, scrap that, she was actually making contact.

I jokingly said to her "you're a bit close there, just move back a touch". She replied with "hah, I'm rubbish at this. At least I didn't touch your car"

I didn't say anything else as she'd only caught the black rub strip (which will be getting replaced soon anyway) but if she'd actually caught any of the paintwork, I would have been a little more annoyed.

I probably would have blew a fuse! If people can't grasp a simple thing like parking i'd hate to have them drive behind me! Some dumb bint managed to park next to my dads van (thankfully he doesn't really worry about it in regards to dings etc) and when she opened her door to get in her car and reverse out i heard it hit the side of the van. As she reversed out i had the window down and mouthed something like "what the hell are playing at"?! she looked at me funny and pulled off and sharply.

I do my best not to damage anyone else's car and so far i haven't, and if i did i would expect to have to fix it. I expect the same in return

gap. is. too. small. dummy!

Haha! I watched a similar incident from my uni window earlier this year. A girl trying to park in a gap which has just about enough to get in. She was out in the round by about a foot and instead of manoeuvring into the space properly, she she kept her steering wheel locked and proceeded to reverse/pull forward around 15 times before she gave up. How can you not realise that if you dont turn the wheel, your just gonna be in the same position going foward/reversing :D
