Airbrush help

I bought a cheap airbrush + compressor kit off ebay a few months back but the airbrush that came with it has given up and refuses to spray paint. I have had the thing in bits several times and cleaned it out completely but it won't spray paint for more than a few seconds before it clogs up again.

Can anyone recommend an airbrush thats any good for less than £40? Also will I need any other fittings (the compressor has 2 different screw fittings on it)?

In short. No. Unless you get really lucky on e-bay you are not going to get a good airbrush for under £40.

wrong type of paint maybe?

Have you tried flushing it with water? Use a thinner paint?

I'm in exactly the same boat with a kit i bought on ebay. Used it twice and now its rubbish. I cleaned it carefully both times. On the plus side I've lost interest in it anyway

I am using an acrylic lacquer based paint which is quite thin.

Have cleaned it with water and solvents, the brush is spotless inside and the paint is very thin but it wont spray water, solvent or paint.

Perhaps this guy could be of assistance, he seems to know his stuff. Slight understatement there, his airbrushing work is simply outstanding.

Well if it wont even spray water theres something really wrong with it...you could try emailing the seller and see if he can replace it? I know its been a few months but he might be nice about it.
