Ignore the bonnet...

I will no go into detail how wrong you are.

If you can afford to buy a small hatch, and then mod it to make it heavier, slower and uglier, then you can DEFINATELY aford a decent car.

Or, the small hatch was purchased dead cheap what with the engine alreadly Majorly fubar, and as such the cheapest replacement was sought.

The chop shop to the suspension and spray paint do not seem like costly modifications, correct me if im wrong.

So how much then, would this all cost, do you recon?

I dont question half these car mods.. hell 99% of the ones you post i love... But swapping a decent 1.6 Petrol Engine for a Diesel? Huh?

You have obviously never experienced the sheer, unrelenting fury of a mapped diesel unleashed on our public roads.

Actually I'm not sure. There is something to be said for having a play with a petrol and claiming you can actually see the astonishment on the drivers face when he registers the TDi/ d / badge that is pulling rapid furlongs on him.

I always imagine these beaten petrol drivers to have really large facial features, accentuated with clown make-up. Just to clarify the terrible shock.

As far as the OP, it's different, a little odd and strange props for the shoot. This is good, allows some of us to admire, others to mock.

It's on hydraulics (or could be airbags) isn't it? Otherwise it would constantly scrape the ground judging by the pics (side skirt & exhaust are near enough grounded). They are certainly not cheap anyway.

Penski, that I am afraid is one of the worst 106 I have ever saw and I have saw some really crap 106's.

Why ruin the awesome lift off handling and the revvie engine to look like that?

Waste of money.

I don't get the camo or the bonnet.. VERY LAME!!!!!

Although the fact that it's on pimp juice and someone decided to put a diesel engine in makes me giggle :D

Is there a reason why he has failed to notify the DVLA of the engine transplant?

I do think it looks like crap, on account of the bonnet. I can see why someone might go for derv too :), there must be some kind of straight drop + boost wound up = ubertorks deal.

I think its supposed to be cool in an Ironic way... maybe?
It's cool in a "if you don't get it you obviously don't understand" way I guess. Call me old fashioned but I like my cars having one colour of paint and able to drive over stones in the road without bottoming out.
