Hi all,

I always thought that the old shape Audi TT's were all Quattro?

..but my friend here believes that some did come in 2wd?

...is this true?

Thanks

My understanding of the MK1s

225 4x4

150 2wd

180 2wd

You can tell the lower models by only having one exhaust and only the one hair straightener holder ;)

They are all made from a jelly mould and the steering works by inserting a stick into said jello to ensure that bespoke "feels like its dead" characteristic that Audi seem able to build into most of their cars. It is a quality stick however and I believe the jello used is 3 star Michelin standard.

I'll try again, some people might listen this time...

225 - all quattro (possibly with the exception of the rare auto, NOT dsg but normal auto, box models)

180 - early models were fwd, then they changed to or offered quattro, so you need to check which it has if it's a 180.

V6 3.2 - all quattro.

150 - introduced later in the life cycle - all fwd

240 QS - all quattro

near the end of life cycle they upped the 150 to 163 and the 180 to 190 as run out models.

163 still fwd and the 190 all quattro I think as it was end of life.
