Hello all,

flying tomorrow morning with BA and want to take my MacBook with me.

I've got an airline charger so I can power it without the battery on the plane, does anyone know the rules? like...do I have to remove the battery etc?

Many Thanks,
Jake

Knowing me and my familys luck we will get checked for "extra security"

Happens every single bloody year

Is that because you look (or are) emo, so they fear you'll try to kill yourself and take everyone else with you?

lol true that :D

The last 2 times I've flown there it's been "dynamite checks" or its been "additional security checks"

about the only thing we haven't had so far is a bloody cavity search :p

i thought its only in america that have those types of rules with having specific laptop bags allowed etc and them being able to take your laptop and examin it, but every flight ive been on some b!nt air hostes tells me to turn it off etc .... like a camera is gonna mess with plane electronics ....

No. Laptop is normal. Only stuff in see through bags is liquids, creams etc.

Where are you flying from - I went through Terminal 5 two weeks ago and it was fab compared to what it replaced!

did you check the plane has charging points ? they are still a minority at momentt

No I haven't checked. Will have to check tonight and fully charge it overnight if needbe.

Flying cattle class....so heres hoping....:D

if you're on BA and in world-traveller, you're out of luck

if you're in world-traveller-plus (premium-economy) then there's a good chance that you'll have the little round laptop power-ports.
