From this Sunday Sky1 are showing "Brand New Futurama".
According to the Sky site there are 8 brand new episodes, including:

Bender’s Big Score
The Beast With A Billion Backs

Now I was under the impression Futurama was canned a whie back and "Benders Big Score" was a straight to DVD release at the back-end of last year.
Where do these 8 episodes come from?
It's just thrown up a major conversation at work as we all want new Futurama but we like to know where they are from - which series etc.

Ta

The series was brought back for four straight-to-DVD films (two have been made so far), and they are being chopped up into four 20 min episodes each.

Benders big score and the beast with a billion backs are available to buy. The former was quite good, but mainly because it had loads of jokes about the show being canceled and how Fox is run by fools. The second film was pretty rubbish imo, shame.

I agree with this, much preferred Bender's Big Score but both weren't as good as the episodes. Still enjoyed them though.

Beast will a billion backs was awful, Benders big score, was awesome! It had a good story line which kind of made some sense, time travel, links to old shows (Frys dog for example) which gave them a better spin. I loved the first, hated the second. Two more I understand, are coming out.

Yes Benders Game & Into the Wild Green yonder

Regardless of which is better, they are all awful in comparison to the original series. They have never bothered with these.

One has to wonder whether Matt Groening and his motley crew have simply lost their touch, with these being less than impressive and what i view as the currently dire state of the simpsons are they actually making anything funny at the moment?

Simpsons may not be "like it was".
However even a bad Simpsons episode is better than some of the other rubbish out there.
