Harsh, Phate's well funny.....

Anyway, have to agree that Chloe looks much better smiling, but then don't we all? Think it's a solid set of shots, bunions - well the photoshop dudes would have sorted that out, lighting nice except some seem just a tad too dark...

Take the critiscm as just that - people should try it and then post here for you to comment on, i'm sure they would do it differently, and then you can comment on their efforts and pick or praise as you feel free. All in all you should be impressed and I'm sure I'd have faired worse....probably :)

She isn't being miserable. Shes looking straight at you through the camera...and how can you say no interaction with those poses?

When we wanted her to smile...we asked her to smile.

The picture where she is smiling, it looks genuine. The shots where she isn't, her face looks dead, there isn't anything there, no emotion. I don't even get the impression its just relaxed. Someone else has suggested trying to tell a story, I'd agree, but you need to get the models buy in. Her face and posture has to be a part of the story.

None of my coments are a critism of the actual technique, I like a lot of the lighting, especially in the shots where the background is dark, and the darkness is enveloping around the model. It highlights the mood of the model really well. Definetly post up shots from the next time in the studio, it will be interesting to see your development.
