Games that should be brought up to date...

Raid over Moscow.

One of the steepest learning curves of any game, as getting the thing out of the hanger was an art form. Plain sailing from there.

Mercs. But the Arcade version with 3 players, not the crappy single player version on the PC.

Having 3 people pile into a jeep was ace back in the day. Driver, passenger and gunner. Pro.

Edit : Oh, yes and FF7

Gauntlet's been redone about a dozen times, although I think it's always on console, don't think there's ever been a PC remake.
Yeah i guess... you've just reminded me of a first person game which used the gauntlet idea about having to keep all of you alive to keep the game going. It was a space shooter and there's are you and 3 other characters and if u go down they have to heal you and u have to heal them. Anyone have any idea what that game is?

Citadel which was released in 1985 on the Acorn Electron/BBC was one of the greatest and most in depth games i've ever played.

Fix up the sound/add some music and it would make a nice conversion to a online flash game.

I'm trying to be a bit different with my selection and going for newer games that need updated/different developers:

Neocron - new engine, developers etc.
Planetside - new engine, better developers and more importantly no SOE
Battlefield 1942 - updated engine would probably be enough to make it a hit again
WWII Online - graphics engine update (nothing OTT BF2 kinda of graphhics) and better netcode for close quarters fighting
Half-Life 1 Deathmatch - (just give it the latest version of the Source engine and don't change any of the maps, weapons, long jump etc. (well maybe change the bee gun a bit so it doesn't lag and crash servers like it did in HL1 DM)

Frontier Elite II
Lotus Esprit Turbo Challange III - they just need to make sure they keep the music

[Edit] System Shock 2 - How could I have forgot such an awesome game...

It would be Delta Force BlackHawk Down for me. Good gameplay with hundreds of custom maps offering all kinds of options from CQB to huge sniper maps. Unfortunately, there's hardly any multiplayer servers left going now.
