Quick Ati 8.11 hotfix question

hi all im going to buying Far Cry 2 tommorow is the 8.11 hotfix a complete new ccc and driver install or is it just a straight hotfix over the top of my 8.10 that are installed?

I uninstalled the 8.10's and then installed the hotfix.

Yes.

EDIT: just seen you have a 4870 on Vista 64, so i wouldn't install the hotfix as theres big problems with that combination.

Far Cry 2 Hotfix

According to AMD the Far Cry 2 Hotfix increases the performance of single and multi GPU systems - our driver review conformed that. In addition to Crossfire support in DX9 the Catalyst update also delivers an increased performance on DX10. The performance of the HD4870 on the other hand is drastically reduced and the problems seem to be complex. We are currently checking back with AMD about that.

Thanks for the info loadsa what does far cry 2 run like without the 8.11 hotfix and using my current 8.10s
