'FIA unhappy with Brundle's BBC move'

Fair enough then, I'll agree with you that Bernie and FOM should just admit that they're going where the cash is rather than doing it as a service to the fans.

Still - if the FIA weren't seemingly committed to completely destroying Formula One then going where the cash is might not be such a problem. And who knows? If the show was actually half decent then maybe the European venues might actually stump up the money that these other countries are willing to pay?

Be good to see Brundle on the BBC, if he's co hosting with DC then all the better imo.

Wonder what Michael Schumacher's doing now? Think he'd make an "interesting" commentator ;)

I'm looking forward to watching a race thats not interrupted with adverts as well :D

Thats something that always wound me up about ITV - they show a major football match and no adverts (till halftime).

Come's to F1 and we get:

"Welcome back you've just missed a fantastic overtaking manourvre"

I watched the 1998 Belgium GP yesterday. ITV coverage, but there was a grand total of 3 ad breaks in the entire race.

Now your hard pushed to get any more than 10 mins of track action before a break.

Lucky to get 10 mins of track action in a race you mean :D

I hope we get it back.

Down in Adelaide we have no International Motorsport evens like this anymore:(

Clipsal 500 is supposed to be pretty good though isn't it?

OT - Whereabouts in Adelaide are you from? I'm moving over there in December :)

Sounds like a typical daily mail non story. The FIA can't tell the BBC who to employ any more than the BBC can tell the FIA it shouldn't be run by a gimp mask wearing spank monkey.

The Clipsal 500 is pretty good, Some drivers say its the best event. But its still not an International event.

Im From the Adelaide Hills. Well Just over the other side of them. About 40 minutes away:)

When you come down ill have to tell you where some of some great roads are through the hills:cool:

Do you know where abouts in Adelaide you are shifting to?

Yeah, I'm moving to Ingle Farm for the first few months. After that though I'm not sure, but we'll probably be looking at suburbs in the west near to the beach.

Sounds good about the roads, though I'll need to get a car first!

Why the City? One thing with Adelaide is it is Extreemly easy to get around. Compared to UK citys its probably a small village:p

If you do want a city suburb then for the beaches look at West beach, Glenelg, Grange, Semaphore and West lakes Boulavad.

Stay Clear of places like Norlunga, Sailsbury, Hackem, Elizibeth, Gepps Cross and Port Adelaide:)

My girlfriend is from Adelaide and we're moving in with her parents to start with. They live in Ingle Farm hence the move there! As for why live in the city - I'd much rather live somewhere with an easy commute into the centre and close to the shops, restaurants and nightlife than somewhere more isolated.

Heard that about getting around, public transport is supposed to be loads better over there and the O'bahn sounds great.

Oh and don't worry, we won't be heading to any dodgy bogan filled suburbs like 'lizbeth! GF knows where's good and where isn't. Cheers for the advice though :)

One of my favourite towns would be stirling. Less then 15 minutes from the CBD.
It can be a bit pricy though but its really nice and probably cheap compared to the uk.
You will be able to catch the bus or train most times of the day from there aswell afaik:)
My Friends Parents live there.

Anyway, Good luck with the move:)

The best beaches in the Area are around Victor Haubor, Port Elliot, Goolwa, And Rapid bay if you want to go to some nice beaches.
Adelaides Beaches are nice but there are much better ones out there not that far away. Perfect for a day trip

Totally unrelated i know, but the news that Mercedes may lineup a bid to take over McLaren is suprising. Their deal with Aston Martin is a suprise to.
