Midnight Club LA (something smells)

I do, just been giving it a short 20min spin.

I would describe it as a cross between Need for Speed & Test Drive. To be honest I'm not impressed, this could very easily be a PS2 game.

That sucks a bit, im watching loads of videos on it, and it does look really good. But as there is no Demo and i have just bought Saints Row 2, i dont exactly want to rush out and buy it.

I know what your saying there, graphics aren't really pushing next gen. Im glad a rented it, worth a rental but not a purchase imo.

Thanks for the info.

I have been reading good reviews etc, but it really comes down to hearing other peoples opinions. Even though it was getting 8/10's etc, i still had this feeling that it wasn't going to be as good as it was hyped to be.

Will either get it when it falls in price or wait until this new NFS arrives.

Truth, i cannot beleive how many AAA titles are coming out in the next 2 months its really stupid and then charging £40 for them. I must have a list of 6 games i want but can only get 3, silly time to release as all the developers are trying to get their money for the xmas shopping spree but they will end up loosing money imo o not making enough as they should have.
 
The graphics are a mile from PS2 standard. Saw someone playing it today and it was rather pretty for its size. The cars especially looked nice.
 
I like it, graphics are fine, racing is fun, drafting for nitro boost is good idea for catching up. Then again i like most driving games........

Yea the car textures are quite good, some other aspects dont seem that next gen to me tho. Hopefully I will post some screenshots of my 240sx later
 
I got it for the PS3 on rental today. Not bad. Graphics are pretty. The detail GPS map is quite cool - allowing you to zoom in from a satellite image to the street level where your car is. Lots of LA landmarks - Santa Monica pier, Hollywood hills, etc.

I like my games to have a story though and this one doesn't seem to have one. I'll probably keep playing over the weekend and see what other stuff there is in it.
 
Just spotted this thread, MC wasn't even on my list to look at until a friend recommended it. So I bought it and I'm pleased I did. It's really good and with all the AAA titles I have at the moment, it's this game that has grabbed my attention.

I recommeded it to a friend who also bought it, he then loved it and recommended to his brother who bought and so on. It's nice to have a game that surprises you.

I have it on the PS3 btw.
 
Hmm I'm really tempted now, I may get it later this week or the next with a few other games. There's far too much coming out I don't know what to get first lol :D
 
Its really not a bad game, its not great, but has some good moments, fun mod shop etc.. as most of these games kinda so, would say its worth sub £25 now but no more than that!
