Why are 30 somethings desperate to tie down?

Cause most are getting uglier by the day and realise if they don't get hitched soon none will have em.
The majority of my circle of friends are quite the opposite and have no intention of settling down any time soon - those in their 30s are still having fun being fancy-free. 
Must admit I am coming around to the idea of settling down, but don't want to do the whole kids thing. I'd rather splurge the cash on holidays than on nappies
As for women, their biological clock starts ticking away so they can't do much about it

i must have skipped a decade, i did the fapping and weed smoking during my teens and have now entered family stage
At 21?
Yep, done the drinking, freedom, free living thing, now with my fiancée and locked into a mortgage (quite literally locked in with this credit crunch crap) and now she wants kids, though im sticking with not yet
Both in full time jobs with prospects of moving up in the world too, both recently had quite big payrises (though mines yet to kick in >_<) so things are looking good
No it isn't that high, but the risk does increase with age (and a host of other things). And it is only the age of the mother that counts, the father's age isn't a risk factor.
