A more modern motherboard would be my choice. That'd hopefully enable you to clock the Q6600 further.

what mobo can you suggest ,

needs to be crossfire pcie 2x 16 both run at 16x on pcie 2.0 and ddr2 800 compatible

and good overclocker for a q6600

i got my eye on a asus p5e

I agree with those who recommended monitors. Your 4870's in crossfire are a waste on 1440x900. Definitely look at picking up at least a 24" screen.

something like this may be better than your current TFT/LCD it has plent input options that would allow you to use it as monitor for your games consoles as well
it is a bit pricey but it would make better use of your crossfired 4870's

wow thats load beyond my budget

i have looked at some 20" monitors and they have very good spec .

i like this

im with everyone else, upgrade the monitor to something that can do 1900x1200. the rest of the system is really nice otherwise.

Ignore my earlier comment about the motherboard, although it is valid. I'd missed the fact you were only using a 19" monitor. If you upgrade only one component, definitely get a 24" monitor. Your Crossfire 4870s are wasted on a 19" TFT.:)

I know the feeling if i paid that for a monitor which is nearly as much as our LCD TV id be wearing my b**** as earings.

the 22" you chose is a nice monitor however it is still well under the performance of your crossfired 4870's

you really should be looking at a 24" monitor for your setup

how about one of these instead when they come back in stock may be nearer your budget.
with it having the hdmi input it will take your games console as long as its a PS3 or Xbox 360
