Right just sold my ipod on ebay, winner had 0 feedback which i was aware of. The winner had a location of germany so i emailed saying i wished for extra money for postage to Germany as apposed to UK. About 1 min ago i received this email from the buyer:

"hello
thanks for the message u sent me ,,,,,,,, i will add 40pounds for the postage to west africa i want to present my son for his birthday gift the payment will be made within 24hrs

thank"

now first thing that comes to mind is scam. do i report to ebay, refuse to send outside of EU or send the item?

Help appreciated thanks.

He wants the gift for his son, don't disappoint him so when the fake paypal confirmation comes through just login via the link it shows and all will be fine!

For him.

I assume it will be paid via a hacked paypal account, so when its realised they will freeze the funds, dont know how they force you to pay it back once its withdrawn though!

They either take it back before you've taken it out, or they reverse the transaction and send debt collectors around.

And i'm sure there's a sticky that says "if you need to ask if it's a scam, then it is". :D
