All I ask is that you refrain from openly talking about piracy, we all know it's rife so we can't exactly stop it with our little corner of the web! But at least we don't have to promote it

This tbh, if it's not a controversial matter do you mind me asking why your not a Don ?, you would be the perfect person to govern this this section.

It'd better have a lot of bloody pages because all the problems start with little nagging instances that to anyone outside of consoles appears to be nothing. But it keeps happening time and time again and that's where a lot of the trouble starts. Just something for you to keep your eye on.

Consoles (and I guess PC gaming) have to be moderated in a different way to the rest of the forum, because there is so much sad console or company bias from some people that don't realise it doesn't have any effect on their life, nor don't seem to realise that Sony/MS/Nintendo will do anything for them for 'fighting the cause'.

Remember the nVidia vs ATi or Intel vs AMD arguments 3 or so years ago? It's worse here.

ahh ok, best not drag that back up again then, I'll just say that I thought Davey_Pitch was a dam fine Don and I hope the powers that be give him the chance to be one again one day.

but i wasn't asked to post any proof. I was just suspended yet there was another guy who was talking about 2 games early and nothing was said

I think one of the main reasons a new don was appointed to this forum was to make a start on cutting down these inconsistencies we have been seeing over the past couple of months. Whether people feel they were unfairly suspended etc, while a mistake maybe, is in the past and nothing can be done now.

Hopefully the changes being made will solve the issues that have been brought up in this thread.

It wasn't a case of getting a 'new' Don, it was the case of getting 'a' Don. Zefan was the only one who looked at these forums (and even then, not enough). Werewolf is brilliant, but isn't a mad gamer and NathanE will help with anything brought up, but doesn't frequent this section.

I still maintain it could do with another gaming Don. What I'd have done personally is appoint JediFragger to PC and get someone from Consoles to Don here. I think there are many suitable candidates that understand the way things go here and understand that this section is, and should be run differently to some other sections.
