What d'you want to achieve in the next year?

Nothing too deep, simple question really. What thing/things do you want to achieve in the next year or so?

I picked up a guitar recently (that's a lie, it was a while ago now) but I really want to get into it, give me a feeling of self-worth when it comes to music!

I'd also quite like to finish off kitting out the lounge/bedroom at my flat, need to purchase a few things and looking into building my own desk.

So, want to learn a language? Do a course at work? Saving to buy something?

sneaky edit: If you want to buy a car, which car? Be realistic ;P I just bought a little '02 Focus as a runaround, will do me nicely until I get the urge for something bigger.

Finish my college course with merit/distinction grade, save enough monies to buy a decent car.

Generally just enjoy it as much as possible though.
 
Well with any luck by the begining of December I will be in a new job closer to home which will save me around 12k a year in travel aswell as being paid about the same again more than my current place.

But apart from the financial side I would like to have a clear line set on to becoming a CEng. Need to pull my finger out with that tho.

Also might buy my self some new toys :D

Complete CCNA 3 and 4 (Cisco), get all distinctions on the rest of my course at college and get accepted into a Uni :)

And watch Dexter :D
 
Pass my uni degree with 2:1[Hons]
Purchase the car i have promised myself for so long: Lotus Elise S2
 
The only two things I have planned so far are:

Visit Cuba this Summer
Buy a Pandora handheld

Staying healthy and happy is the main things, everything else is a bonus
 
Interesting question, my achievements for next year will be based around whether im still contracting or not. If I don't get renewed and I struggle to find another placement this side of xmas then achievement list will be low :]

Assuming the best though:
Home owner
possible holiday home owner
Boy to transition to primary school with no issues
Start teaching myself something new, something work related and also something just for me (so 2 things hehe)
 
Well, I am going to Japan on holiday in 2010 as it was so good when I went earlier this year so next year I want to save some spending money for when I go.

Also want to get around to getting rid of some stuff that has built up over the last 5-10 years
 
By the end of 2009 , i want to be in a new IT job! and have passed my A+ cert(s) and live in a flat/house with the mrs

oh and a long shot!

Go back to Lake Garda
 
get myself well on track with my life, new career starting in under 3 weeks, pass all the training etc and knuckle down.
Learn to drive finally and get a car.
Meet new people have new experiences when I move away.
Get some money put away for a house, figured start saving now and Ill try and get myself one when the prices get lowww
