Description - So what's a Guardsman do?
As a Guardsman you will be first and foremost an Infantry Soldier, trained to the highest standards in the use of modern weapons and equipment available to the Army. A Guardsman is required to help keep the peace by acting in support of a police force, or working for the Untied Nations, patrol in the jungle & desert and fight conventional wars on today's modern battlefield. It is likely that you will be involved in the fight against terrorism in the more notorious parts of Northern Ireland. You would receive special training as part of a close-knit 4 man team before deploying on operations with your Battalion. You are personal bodyguards of HM The Queen and have the privilege of guarding the Royal Palaces in London and Windsor, taking part in major State Ceremonial Duties such as Trooping the Colour, The State Opening of Parliament and State Visits.

Anyway im over the moon, wish me luck in my new job (few months yet) and im gonna give it my all.

Really wish you good luck I'm glad we have people who do join the armed services in this country otherwise we'd be nowhere.

I was approached by two companies in Newcastle to do Structural Design Engineering for an Oil and Gas Consultancy, had some good news about them today and will hopefully have the formal offers tomorrow one is for www.pdl-group.com and the other is www.nobledenton.com.

Not sure which one I am going to take for sure but the two of them will be a nice pay increase.
