What do/did your parents do?

Sounds intresting though, sounds like something out of a film!
 
My dad was in the army for many years and is now the operations manager of an aluminium processing plant.

My mother is a Cleaner, she was a nurse but quit because she didnt like seeing sick people all the time!!!!

Neither of their career choices has affected my own other than them both being damned hard workers and me trying to be the same.
 
Dad - Cost Estimator for Oil and Gas Production Plants (Overseas)
Mam - Sister (Ward Manager - Nurse)

Me - Structural Design Engineer for Oil Companies.

Apart from my Dad showing me that their is lots of money in Oil and Gas no they didn't interfere, both parents wanted me to become a RAF Pilot.

My Dad became a Michelin Apprentice around 1952 and I became a Michelin Apprentice in 1974.
My Dad played in his first band around 1956 and I first performed with him in 1970.
My Dad played his last gig when he turned 50 and I'm 50 now :eek:
My mum worked on assembly lines all her life and I did for a couple of decades.
 
Dad - Police. Training Sargent --> CID --> Superintendent or some such
Mum - Clerical officer

Me - IT
Brother - Working for Southern Gas Networks in pressure control

All in all? No influence :P

my father has been a company director in various roles; sales and commercial recently.
mother had had various council jobs.

Sister is a French/Spannish teacher and i work in IT :(
 
Both of them work at a bank.

My mum started work experience at hers 40 years ago and stayed there ever since (in different countries) :o long time working at the same place !
 
Dad is a Civil Engineer and Institute Fellow.
Mum was a visual merchandiser, was a housewife for years and now works part-time in Clarks.

I should be a pharmacist based on my Dad's family tree - my grandad was a pharmacist, his dad was a civil engineer, his was a pharmacist... you get the picture, goes back about 7 generations. I'm nowhere near - just graduated from a film degree and mainly looking for work in creative project management/event planning.

Dad was a joiner and has been a BT engineer for nearly 30 years, mum worked in a bank then call centre for Wolsleys sp? until she went on a ride in Orlando and it damged/slipped her disc, it was the big wooden rollercoaster at Busch Gardens, so now she stays at home looking after the house.
