I'm wayyyy out of touch with hardware at the moment. I'm going to be starting a new build, buying bits week by week. Is there anything that I should snap up first of all that isn't going to be considerably cheaper in a month or two? Memory for instance. Is that at rock bottom now? Can you recommend some that would kick me off and allow me to base my whole system around? Also, i guess I am best getting the gfx card last? Cheers in advance.

Ram is very cheap at the moment, i would try and get as much as possible at the moment, with the exception of cpu and mobo, because the exchange rate it terrible.

Personally, I wouldn't buy any RAM until you know what motherboard it will be going into. Most combinations work, but it is not guranteed. Been there, ended up with RAM that wouldn't work in the motherboard

Any reason why u are not buyiung everything at the same time? From personal experience I have found myself upset when i came to buy the final bits as the first parts i had bought had dropped in price significantly.

Yes, because i'm skint and i'm terrible at saving up. :) I'm also in no real rush or need for the pc. Thats why i'll get the ram, case, dvd drive firstly. They are very unlikely to have come down in price in a month or two.
