Biggest derby match in the world...

I'm led to believe that the biggest rivalry in the universe is.........

Nottingham Panthers v Sheffield Steelers :p

oh aye, here we go, hit from behind by a weapon, CCTV proved that did it?

here we go with the past awards, does ronaldinho go about saying he was the FIFA world player of the year in 2004 when hes off form at the current time?

I suggest if you ever take 200,000 fans somewhere (highly doubtful) there will be a few tussles, then again, a higher percentage of your 2000 or so fans who went down to manchester got arrested the other week there... Rangers had 9 european trips before manchester without a single arrest, including taking 28,000 fans to barcelona in what was the highest away following in europe to a non-final match...

Your 'Theres quite a few nazi's" comment quite clearly shows 1- your intolerance, 2- your lack of knowledge, 3- a whole lot of irony, when celtic's fans fly terrorist organisation flags and sing of their songs

tell me, your not one of these people who think asking someone to go home (if they do indeed sing of their homeland so often) is racist?

then again, if you believe rangerse fans are all nazis (or huns) why do they tell "us" to go home?

You sound like a nutjob mate.

You are right, I must be a nutjob if I dare to challenge the celtic can do no wrong mentality

I was thinking more along the lines of your paranoia, anger issues and recitement of everything you hear on FollowFollow verbatim with no independent thought for how ridiculous it makes you sound, for instance:

Comparing a car getting keyed to a guy being kicked to near-death.

Trying to attack us for republican singing then trying to pass off your salutes in Israel as not Nazi but those of a terrorist organisation to make you look better.

Comparing half a dozen arrests of Celtic fans over the last 5 years in Europe for drunk and disorderly to a full-scale riot in Manchester and attempted murder of a police officer, captured on CCTV and televised across the nation (who are you trying to fool?) and painting Barcelona as a success whilst omitting the fact the mayor of Barcelona called your fans animals who destroyed his city and weren't welcome back.

Calling a Celtic fan intolerant and then attempting to defend a blatantly racist song that calls on Irish immigrants to leave Scotland and mocks the deaths of over a million Irish people, condemned by Rangers, the SFA, Irish and Scottish governments, Show Racism the red Card, Nil by Mouth...

It doesn't make me think you are an intelligent guy.

Everything I hear on follow follow? i am not a member of said forum, nice try though.

You cant do much when along comes timothy blowing everything out of proportion... attempted murder? (what about nacho having to have 24/7 protection after having his address on the net, among others) full scale riot? a couple of hundred fans out of 200,000? *lets not forget the rangers fan who jumped in and helped... then again, it was never really proven that all those "rioters" were all rangers fans... since when was the red hand of ulster a symbol of a terrorist organsation... come on

you sing republican songs? oh so thats what it is, then you have a go at a song that is light headed banter, then again, the fact it has clearly gotten to celtic fans, one of them had to write to the irish consulate is embarassing enough for them... how would that hold up in court if you wanted to take me to court for singing the "famine" song?

we destroyed barcelona? sure we did, zero arrests in barcelona, I would have thought another full scale riot would have brought in some more media attention than a local newspaper annoyed at a little bit of mess in their town square (and lets remember this prompted barcelona officials, who underprepared for gers fans, too accomodate better for celtic fans coming over)

celtic fans are nothing but delusional ambulance chasers, just because the mhedia doesnt report it doesnt mean it doesnt happen, we all see the similar videos when celtic go down south or abroad, singing their filth, im not saying rangers fans are squeaky clean, never have, but its the clear indenial of celtic fans that is laughable, the media will turn, "your day will come" as you so state, when they wake up to the filth that far exceeds that of asking someone who sings about the land they love so much, to go back to it?

I think I shall end it there at the thought of running this thread any more off topic, what will they think of us...

Not me blowing it out of proportion, those are the words of Greater Manchester Police. What would you call dozens of people chasing a police officer, tripping him up and kicking him while he is on the ground?

what about nacho having to have 24/7 protection after having his address on the net, among others

Nacho Novo himself came out himself and said he never had a clue about it or was under any house arrest or protection but I suppose he is a delusional timmy?

*lets not forget the rangers fan who jumped in and helped... then again, it was never really proven that all those "rioters" were all rangers fans...

The guy that rescued the police officer? Not a Rangers fan, he felt obliged to come out and give an interview saying he condemned the Rangers fans once he became aware the Scottish press were trying to paint him as some kind of Rangers hero.

What you have written there is embarassing. The song is not light-hearted or banter and it should rightly 'get to' any decent-minded person, never mind Irish people and their descendents many of whom had relatives die in the famine.

I imagine it would hold up in court very well seeing as your own chairman said fans would be arrested for singing it.

The song which makes reference to no ethnic group ,religion or specified country whatsoever?

Nacho said what?

He said: 'Rivalry between the teams remains something more than sporting. I have even received death threats this year.

'I have seen on YouTube there is a video with a guy singing with his guitar that he hopes I die. That kind of thing has an impact on you.

Then there is

RANGERS goalie Allan McGregor is receiving round-the-clock protection from Rock Steady security guards after his cars were vandalised at his home.

funny thing is, it all comes about because celtic get a little bit upset, they cant sing anything that riles up rangers fans, and rangers fans come up with 2 crackers, yet celtic fans decide that because they have no response, they have to go running to mama and papa (eg, goverment and SPL)... i even hopped onto a man u forum and some of there fans were going to take sacks of tatties to parkhead, you couldnt make it up :D

Don't know if it's been said but Sunderland v Newcastle is NOT a derby.

They only thing they have in common is that they are both in the North East.

So that means Newcastle v Boro and Sunderland v Boro is out also.

Man Utd v Man City, AC v Inter etc are derbies as they are from the same place.

This is like saying Man United v Boro is a derby as they are both in the north of England.

Total tosh tbh......

according to www.footballderbies.com it's a local derby rather than a city derby also they only rate about 8 derby games world wide to have a better atmosphere than sunderland v newcastle

your just jealous because both the mags and the mackems don't care about playing you, you want a derby. Didn't you used to be part of Yorkshire? (Can't remember, can someone clear that up) if so go play leeds for your derby

since when was the red hand of ulster a symbol of a terrorist organsation

And I repeat for the benefit of Flippin Eck , oh my, Rangers fan in 'honest Guv it was the red hand of Ulster gesture and not a Nazi salute' shocker!

I can also answer your question in that it is common knowledge the Red Hand has been misappropriated by terrorist organisations in Northern Ireland.

I don't want a derby :)

The only way we could have a derby is if Stockton got a proper team going.

For those not aware, the rivalry between Newcastle and Sunderland is not only down to football but due mainly to the civil war of 1642.

It may not be the most spectacular and interesting derby there is but it has the history to beat most.
