AMD Phenom x4 9950 black

The M3A32-MVP is a very nice board but it's running on the old southbridge SB600, I would not advise anyone to buy one now.
You could maybe wait around for a while to see what 790FX/SB750 boards are released but the M3A79 would do the trick as would the DFI listed above. :)

If there was a Deneb Black Edition release for December I'd be having one as soon as they were on the site. (assuming ASUS pulled their finger out and had a bios update)

I want to replace my 4600+ as its really holding back the GTX260 i have in there. I've contemplated pulling the trigger on a 2.86ghz penni, but knowing what is coming out in the next couple months makes me back off.

well thats exactly the point, it has onboard radeon 3300 hd graphics, but no output for them, so unless you are using the ati hybrid feature then they are surely pretty useless

Hu? I think you are getting confused, only the GX boards have the inbuilt Radeons and they state that they have a graphics port... You linked to a lot of boards though, were you referring to one in particular?

yeah sorry, i was looking at the top one buy DFI lanparty, it says radeon 3300 integrated graphics and hyrib graphics support in the spec but has no dvi/vga/hdmi as stated in one of the reviews, thats whats gotten me a bit confused

Ah, now I see what you are talking about, a quick google shows that you are right. There is no DVI on the board's IO plate, the DVI is actually on a 20 pin board header, but the header needs an adapter (onto a PCI bracket I think) which DFI haven't supplied in the box for the motherboard, what I've read is a little unclear on whether DFI are actually making the adapter yet as well.

i've got a DFI Lan Party DK 790FXB-M2RSH now which is a great motherboard. i can clock my 9850 to 2.9ghz on stock volts and 3ghz on 1.35v all in 64bit os. i haven't tryed higher yet..

with my old MSI K9A2 Platinum motherboard i could only get to 2.7-2.8ghz on about 1.40v in 64bit os. in 32bit os i could get to 3ghz on 1.38v..

It could be because DFI are typically high end gamer / overclockers motherboards. They may well have utilised the 790gx chipset for it's overclocking capabilities while ignoring it's media cpabilities.
In other words, ATI built a chipset to cater for a broad market they were interested in, DFI took that chipset, and tailored it for the narrower specialist market they operate in.
The 790gx chipset is interesting in that it is equipped for anything from media centre with the IGP to high end gaming. It's not too surprising individual board makers might configure it to their own purposes.
