The Cayman makes a clicking noise from front tyres on full lock at low speed, prob worse in reverse

The M3 did the same too

is it just a case of the edges of wide tyres being at such an angle (if that mkaes sense) or soemthing else ?

Most cars I have owned seem to emit a humming noise when the steering is held on full lock, even when stationary. I assume it's something to do with the power steering. Would this be the case with yours?

not a humming noise., more of a thud thud thud as if the tread of the tyres is at too steep an angle

Think it's the PAS, I remember my driving instructor telling me to always not quite use full lock if doing a lot of low speed manoevures.

Pressure relief valve in the power steering probably. Won't happen if you're at full lock, but not pushing it against the stops.

Was going to say CV joints, but then I saw the car.

My 987S sounds/feels odd at full lock too mate. Feels 'wrong' doesn't it?

Feels more than just the camber causing judder as the tread rides the floor...

good to hear it's not just me then

bloody thing has already cost me some money though

had a grating noise on right hand bends/roundabouts

they had to strip the brakes to remove a stone trapped behind the disc, £103 :(

not asked but fairly sure the warranty wouldn't want to know as it could easily have happened after I got the car

It's either the PAS relief valve or some scrubbing going on with the tyres when its moving.

Does it make the same noise when it's on full lock (held hard over), when you aren't moving? :)
